Kipling, mivel fordítasz? Némelyik szöveget nem tudom visszatenni magyarra... Megírod nekem, mit írtál?
For the members additional information of the exhibition...:
One of the major cross stitch shops organizes this exhibition every august, for years now. The stitchings awards are decided by the accuracy of the stitches, not the choosing of the design, but the jury prefers great designers, Lanarte, Dimensions, Anchor, Heritage, etc.
There is a small entry fee, and then every work can be one of the awarded. The works are exhibited for 1-2 weeks, after then, everybody can take his/her work home. The best male stitcher and the best child stitchers are awarded, too.
Prizes are from the beautiful new kits of these companies and stitching accessories, for example floorstands, daylight lamps, etc...
One year, when I was there, too, my friend got 2nd prize for her miniature stitching of a large work. (The original work was maybe 40x60 cms, but she did it smaller than 20x30 cms. That tiny stitches were just wonderful! She is not on this board, but I ask her permission to show her work here...
The smallest child on that year awarded was maybe 4 years old, she stitched a small fish design with tapestry wool. Maybe next year my son can enter, too.
I thank Kipling for writing about this in this forum. |
